Aufgaben
- Design and deliver immersive German lessons in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) that align with school-wide curriculum goals and inspire early fluency development.
- Engage young learners with student-centered, hands-on activities that build language skills and boost classroom participation.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels supported, confident, and excited about learning German.
- Collaborate across disciplines with colleagues to develop holistic, multilingual units and advance language acquisition strategies school-wide.
- Enrich school life beyond the classroom by contributing to extracurricular language clubs, special events, and community initiatives that bring students, families, and staff together.
Profil
- Native‑level fluency in German, paired with a confident command of spoken and written English (C1/C2 level), enabling seamless communication and multilingual teaching environments.
- Proven classroom teaching experience, ideally at the primary level, with a record of fostering student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to build strong rapport with students, colleagues, and parents in a culturally diverse setting.
- Experience with or training in IB PYP pedagogy—including inquiry-based planning, transdisciplinary teaching, and understanding of the Learner Profile—is a distinct advantage.
