Aufgaben
We are looking for an intern to join our team as soon as possible, ideally for at least 6 months. The occupation can also be carried out as part of a master's thesis.

You take responsibility for refining and validating a measurement method for human hair gloss.

Together with your colleagues, you design and improve procedures for image acquisition and image analysis to reliably quantify gloss characteristics.

Additionally, you prepare human hair tresses with a high level of precision to ensure consistent and reproducible measurements.

You analyse correlations between image-based gloss data, consumer perception, and the chemical/physical properties of applied formulations.

Finally, you independently plan, perform, and evaluate measurement series using the developed method.
Profil
- bachelor's degree in (chemical) engineering, biophysics, physics, biology or (physical) chemistry
- initial experience in imaging, image analysis or related laboratory environments is an advantage
- strong knowledge of imaging and image‑analysis technologies, basic statistics and data analysis, and interest in cosmetic science—especially human hair fibres and their interaction with light
- excellent English and good German skills, as well as confident handling of standard digital tools
- motivated and creative team player with an analytical mindset, precise working style, strong communication skills and the ability to independently document and present scientific work
