IsraAID Germany e. V. responds to the changing needs of crisis and conflict-affected populations inside and outside of Germany as they transition from crisis to reconstruction, rehabilitation, and sustainable living. We work tirelessly to address the immediate needs of vulnerable communities while also fostering long-term community resilience. As part of our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our Professional Department as a Leadership & community participation coordinator.


Position Overview:

The professional coordinator is responsible to ensure alignment between the professional content and guidelines provided by the professional department to implementation of those within the projects, by providing knowledge, supportive written materials, and advice, as well as preparing and providing monitoring and evaluation tools for the project.

Tasks

1. Lead the professional circle of facilitators and community enablers.

2. Facilitate group discussions on professional methodologies.

3. Onboard new team members in professional tools and methodologies.

4. Support and provide knowledge to project coordinators on the implementation of professional methodologies.

5. Coordinate the development of training to upskill the team members.

6. Support project's teams in implementing the professional methodology.

7. Develop and write methodology concepts.

8. Create and develop professional materials to support the needs of the development department.


1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

2. Proven experience in facilitation, familiarity with facilitation techniques, methodologies, and tools, proficiency in facilitating meetings, workshops, and group discussions effectively.

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.

4. Strong active listening skills to understand the needs and perspectives of various stakeholders and facilitate productive discussions.

5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and networks with stakeholders at all levels.

6. Empathy and cultural sensitivity to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

7. Collaborative approach with a focus on teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect.

8. Proficiency in using various collaboration and communication tools, such as video conferencing platforms, project management software, and document sharing tools.

9. Flexibility and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty in complex organizational environments.

10. Commitment to upholding ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity in all aspects of work.


Location: Berlin, Germany

Start date: 1st of June 2024

Position size : Freelance position/ 10 hours per week

Contract length: Replacement for parental leave for a year with option to remain in position
