Aufgaben
We are looking for an engaged Risk and Compliance Manager who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC's mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.
The Risk and Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall internal control environment across operations: Legal, Finance, Procurement, People & Culture and Technology is fit for purpose and effective in mitigating risks. You will be required to proactively analyze the control environment, identify hot spots and implement remedial action as needed. You will develop action plans and drive change to meet required standard good practices.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk Management Framework:
- Further develop and review a fit-for-purpose risk management process for FSC. This includes revising risk categories appetite, policies, and processes around Enterprise Risk Management Framework
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders, conduct risk assessments and maintenance of the quarterly risk register. This involves the identification, estimation, monitoring and mitigation of the risks.
Control Environment:
- Enhancing the internal control environment in collaboration with leads across the organization, in the development and adherence of minimum control standards, based on good business practices.
- Support in the development and maintenance of a monthly dashboard on financial risks, identify lessons learnt and root causes of recurring systemic issues in the operation that present high risks to the organization. Prepare summary reports with recommendations on significant matters requiring management action or intervention.
Other responsibilities:
- Conduct spot checks on a regular basis to ensure compliance. The post holder may also need to conduct independent assessments on irregularities identified, as required.
- Develop and deliver training, including finance for non-finance training, to enhance the quality, accuracy and compliance of financial information.
- Advice and support key stakeholders on matters related to risk management, compliance, and oversight.
Profil
Education and Working Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar field
- Certified accountant
- Minimum of 5 years progressive post-qualification experience in finance, and at least 3 years of working in a similar management role.
- At least 3 years of experience in mitigating a broad range of strategic and operational risks gained in a comparable environment.
- At least 3 years of experience investigated suspicions of fraud and supported organizations prevent, detect and respond to fraud.
Working Style & Skills
- Excellent time management skills: Ability to perform well while handling simultaneously several projects.
- High level of independence and maturity with minimal guidance and oversight necessary from the supervisor.
- Ability to manage risk-focused activities in an international extended enterprise.
- Proven ability to operate credibly and effectively at Board/senior executive level, contributing across a wide range of business issues.
- Successful track record of working with sensitive issues in complex organizations and delivery in an environment of significant change.
- Comfortable with strategic planning, as well as an eye for operational and analytical detail.
Digital Skills
- Strong skills in standard software packages (MS Office 365).
- Proficiency in an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle.
- Working knowledge of risk management digital tools.
Communication and Relationship management skills
- Exemplary verbal and written conduct and communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations with staff regardless of position level.
- Excellent soft skills and proven ability to manage sensitive conversations.
- Ability to lead a conversation and arrive at timely conclusions.
- Effectiveness in both: office and remote work, including staff management.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Fluency in German is an advantage.

The Fine Print
- Location: Bonn, Germany.
- Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week.
- Duration of Employment: Temporary contract - 2 years (extension possible, subject to satisfactory performance).
