The Department of Immunobiochemistry at the Heidelberg University, Medical Faculty Mannheim searches for a

Scientist / Postdoctoral-fellow (m/f/i) in the Excellence cluster Synthimmune

in full time, with an initial contract of 2 years.

Our department (head: Prof. Dr. Adelheid Cerwenka) focuses on the research of (innate) immune cells and their exploitation in the immunotherapy for cancer and inflammatory diseases.


Aufgaben
  • Exciting research project in the field of (innate) immunology (e.g. Natural Killer cells, macrophages and cancer)
  • Develop and advance a research project including the following methods: analysis of gene expression using large scale screening technologies, microfluidic analysis and in silico studies
  • Support of projects of the Department of Immunobiochemistry, (knowledge e.g. in bioinformatics would be an advantage)

Profil
  • Doctorate e.g. in biochemistry, biology or medicine
  • Scientific curiosity, enthusiasm for science, project management skills, team player
  • Experience in research in biochemistry/immunology/cell biology is desirable
