The DigiMed Secure Cloud is hosted at LRZ, which provides a trusted research environment supporting data-driven health research in a secure way. Our mission is to provide researchers with reliable, and confidential computing infrastructure for processing sensitive data (e.g. medical data)

Aufgaben
You will become part of the DigiMed Secure Cloud operation team and contribute to maintaining and improving our OpenStack-based cloud environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Onboarding new users
- Maintaining difference services (code) hosted on the cloud
- Drafting technical and non-technical documents, e.g., user manuals and security compliances.
- Receiving and processing basic service tickets from users
- Coding and scripting
- Assist in risk assessments, or penetration tests
This position offers hands-on experience in cloud and HPC operations. This position can also lead to a master thesis.
Profil
- Enrolled student holding a Bachelor degree in Computer Science
- Knowledge of Linux command lines
- Familiar with one of the programming languages: Python, Golang or C/C++.
- Good communication skills in English
- Interest in cloud technologies and system administration operations
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cloud computing and networking
- Curiosity in security, privacy and AI applications
- Knowledge of German is a plus
