Student Assistant – International Office & Student Life (gn)

Part-time (20 hours/week), to start as soon as possible. Are you interested in working in an international academic environment? • Providing first-level support to international and domestic students via email and in person, particularly on topics such as: Onboarding in Berlin/Germany (housing, German bureaucracy, health insurance, Residence permits and visa-related questions, General orientation and settling-in matters);
• Supporting the Study Abroad team during the Exchange & Dual Degree application cycle, including administrative assistance and communication;
• Creating, updating, and maintaining informational materials for students;

• Assisting with the planning and organization of student events, orientation activities, and workshops;

• Supporting ongoing student-focused projects.

• Currently enrolled at a German university for the full duration of the contract (Due to the sensitive nature of the data involved, Hertie students cannot be considered for this position.);
• Confident working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with Moodle is a plus);

• Excellent written and spoken German and English;

• Strong service orientation with a hands-on, proactive approach;

• Ability to work independently, reliably, and with attention to detail;

• Strong intercultural competence and sensitivity when working with international students;

• Open-minded, approachable, and possessing strong communication skills.
