Research Officer/Translator (m/w/d)

The Singapore Embassy in Germany was first established in 1973. Its primary objective is to deepen Singapore's bilateral ties with the Federal Republic of Germany. The Embassy is located in Berlin at Voßstraße 17, near Potsdamer Platz.

The Singapore Embassy in Berlin is looking for a Research Officer/Translator to join our dynamic and multi-cultural team (full-time, fixed-term for 2 years).

• Produce regular research reports on key issues in Germany (e.g. domestic & economic developments and foreign policy), and other topics of interest to the Embassy;
• Produce reference products (e.g. CVs, letters) to aid in the Embassy's work;
• Scan media sources, collate and summarise relevant media reports;
• Assist with translations of articles and documents from German to English, or vice versa;
• Assist with logistical arrangements related to official meetings and visits;
• Support the Embassy's public outreach events; and
• Handling other administrative duties as required.

• Possess a university degree, or an equivalent professional certificate;
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken);
• Resourceful, creative, organised, meticulous, and a team player;
• Work independently under pressure and open to trying different tasks;
• Has an interest in political and economic affairs;
• Enjoys interacting with people from different walks of life.
